Choppy Hair Medium Style
Pin curls are an option for heat-free hair styling. This classic hair styling method has been around for centuries in some form. Pin curls can also help you achieve today's modern hairstyles.
Types of Pin Curls
Pin curls refer to a hair setting technique in which people form curls by twisting sections of hair into curl shapes and securing the curls with hair pins. Pin curl setting can achieve tight, medium or loose curls, depending on the styling technique.
Hair pins such as metal roller pins (jumbo bobby pins), traditional metal u-shape hair pins and metal hair clips can be used to secure pin curls. You can also use plastic hair pins such as Good Day Hair Pins, to secure hair. Smooth plastic pins are much gentler on hair because they do not snag on hair when removed like metal pins. You can also use snag-free elastics in place of hair pins for setting looser curls.
