What Should You Wear to a Texas Barbeque Party?

Ask your guests to wear their worn out denim jeans and old boots if they have them. Give prizes for the best and worst cowboy get ups. Provide red bandanas and sheriff’s stars at the door and require them to be worn at all times. Hand out squirt guns or cap guns and stuff them in your waistband in case the party gets out of hand and needs a little law and order to be established.

Fun Way to Decorate at Your Texas Barbeque Party

Make banners out of brown paper and hang them around the yard. Paint slogans on them like “No greenhorns allowed”, or “Eat with your fingers”, or “Outlaws Only”. Turn the yard into a Texas corral. Line the edges with bales of hay or straw. Make these the only sitting areas available to your guests. Use red checkered cloths on your tables If you can find a couple of saddles, use them as decorations and be sure to hang a lasso on them. Wagon wheels, bedrolls and spurs all make great decorations for a Texas Barbeque Party so if you can get your hands on them, be sure to do so. And, last but far from least, get a couple of Texas flags to help set the mood.
